Ford Greene is valiantly doing a great public service by leading the fight against this atavistic approach to Marin's water needs. The desal plant will waste tremendous amounts of energy and most likely add greatly to carbon emissions.It will pollute the bay, destroy wildlife and habitats and it will cost too much. The water produced would likely be contaminated. Conservation is the first, best solution that must be further addressed now. The Marin Municipal Water District is doing a good job at conservation, but it can and must do better. I urge all Marin citizens to support Ford Greene and fight the desal plant. David M.
